Kleyton Giglio has been working as a massage therapist for twenty-five years. Brazilian-born with an Italian background and formally trained since 2008, he built his practice across several countries, on businessmen, athletes, dancers and performers, before settling in Amsterdam. He keeps two studios here now, one on Topaasstraat in Oost and one on Kinkerstraat in West, and runs both himself.
The work blends Thai technique and Ayurveda-inspired bodywork with deep tissue and sports massage, and he adjusts pressure and pace to whatever the body in front of him is asking for that day. Most of it centres on the back and shoulders, with firm palm and thumb pressure worked slowly along the spine. Swedish, hot stone and lymphatic drainage sessions are part of the repertoire too.
The one he is best known for is the VIP Signature Massage. It runs 100 minutes and moves through kneading, rolling of the skin and fascia, pressure points, stretches and a slow rhythmic rocking meant to settle the nervous system as much as the muscle. Sound bowls and hot stones come into it, and it ends with a guided meditation rather than an abrupt return to the room.
Shorter sessions run 60, 75 or 90 minutes; the VIP Signature is €145. He works from either studio and travels to homes and hotels across Amsterdam, and between Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, English, Dutch and Hungarian, he can usually meet a client in their own language.
